About your physical / ski touring level, here are some self-evaluation clues :
Level 1
I can walk uphills for 20mn in the snow with touring skis, or I have never practiced ski touring and need to be initiated.
Level 2
I can walk uphills for around one hour in the snow with touring skis. I have a little bit of experience or more in ski touring.
Level 3
I can walk uphills for around two hours in the snow with touring skis. I have practiced many times ski touring, I feel comfortable on the ski-climbing part on soft snow, even when making kick-turns.
Level 4
I can walk uphills for around three hours or more in the snow with touring skis. I have a good experience in ski touring, and I feel comfortable on the ski-climbing part on hard snow, even when making kick-turns.
